CVICU Registered Nurse – Requirements Summary

• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required.
• Experience with fresh heart (post-cardiac surgery) patients is required.
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2.
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred/required.

Certifications & Licensure

• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification.
• Active Kentucky (KY) RN license or Compact RN license required.

Additional Requirements

• Must be willing to float within scope of practice as needed.
• Every other weekend rotation is required.
• Blocked scheduling is not available/accommodated.
